Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival - Kunming
Upon arrival in Kunming, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
Day 02 Kunming - Stone Forest - Kunming (Breakfast + Lunch)
Drive to Lunan County which takes 2 hours and explore the Stone Forest Geological Park. In the afternoon, return to Kunming.

Stone Forest: Located in Lunan County which is about 120 kilometers from Kunming, the Stone Forest is made up of countless awesome natural rock formations - bunches of gray stone columns which look like stalagmites. Covering an area of 400 square kilometers, the whole area is like a fantastic maze with nice walking trail.
Day 03 Kunming - Shangri-la (Breakfast + Lunch)
Take flight to Shangri-la. Visit Songzanlin Lamasery, the Pudacuo Scenic region (including Shudu Lake, Bita Lake resort and Xiaji Resort.)

Bitahai Lake: Covering an area of 390 acres, it is one of the highlights in Potatso National Park. The lake is surrounded by dense forest which is scattered with azaleas. Bitahai Lake is very limpid and abundant in fish resources. There is a small wooded island in the center of the lake. Visitors can take a boat to go ashore the island
Songzanlin Lamasery: Originally built in 1679, it is a massive typical Lama monastery with traditional Tibetan architectural style. The roofs of the temple are gilded copper, making the whole complex look much grand and magnificent. There are more than 700 Tibetan Buddhist monks living in the temple; and it houses many precious art works accumulated from the past dynasties.
Day 04 Shangri-la - Kunming - Departure (Breakfast + Lunch)
After breakfast, take flight to Kunming. We offer 5 options for today's tour:
1. Tour to the Dragon Gate in Western Hills.
2. Tour to Haigeng Park by the Dianchi Lake, where you will enjoy the nice view of the lake and see many seagulls.
3. Tour to Golden Temple.
4. Tour to Qiongzhu Temple.
5. Explore the Bird-Flower Market and Jinma Biji Archway.
Transfer to Kunming airport to connect with your onward flight.

Dragon Gate: A group of exquisite stone grottoes, rooms and Buddhist figures carved with excellent craftsmanship on a large natural rock. It is in Western Hill, a forest reserve that is suited at the west bank of the Dianchi Lake with flourishing flowers and dense forest.
Golden Temple: The present Golden Temple was built in 1670 A.D. during the Ming Dynasty. It is the most important and active Taoist temple in Kunming. The whole structure of the temple is made from bronze, weighs 280 tons and stands 6.7 metres in height and 7.8 metres in width.
Qiongzhu Temple: Named after a kind of bamboo called Qiongzhu, it is located in the beautiful wooded Yu'an Mountain. Originally built during the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the monastery is famous for its collection of 500 Buddhist Arhat statues dating from the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). At the back of the temple, there are many green bamboos.

Service Includes

1. The economy-class air charges of the domestic flight or soft sleeper/seat train charge between cities as specified in the itinerary.
2. The hotel accommodation is based on two persons sharing one standard twin room with private facilities in all relevant locations. If a single client requests a twin room alone, the single room supplement will be charged.
3. For the land tour in each city, daily American breakfast is served in the hotel, and Chinese lunch and/or dinner will be served with two cups of soft drink outside the hotel. All meal arrangements are served as the itinerary specifies.
4. Private transfers for you and your party as a group between airports, train stations, hotels and all sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
5. One private English-speaking guide and driver will accompany you on all normal sightseeing tours in each city.
6. Entrance fees to the tourist sites.
7. Should your tour include a cruise, then the shore excursion in groups and activities will be subject to the arrangements made by the cruise company.
8. China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

6. Single Room Supplement.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
