Yunnan is one of the
most attractive and traveler-friendly destinations
in China. It is the most diverse of all China's
provinces with unique landscape ranging from
tropical rainforest in south Yunnan to snow-capped
mountain peaks in the northwestern part of the
province. Yunnan is the home of 25 ethnic
minority groups with colorful cultures and traditions.
Half of China's plant and animal species can
be found in Yunnan. Most parts of Yunnan are
warm in winter and cool in summer, which makes
it an ideal destination to travel to at any
time of the year. If you want to go to just
one province of China, Yunnan might well
be it.
