Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival - Beijing
Upon your arrival in Beijing, you will be greeted by our English-speaking guide at the exit of the Beijing airport. Be transferred to your hotel.
Day 02

Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
In the morning, walk through the Tiananmen Square and take photos, then visit the palatial Forbidden City. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, tour to the Temple of Heaven. Drive back to your hotel. Optional program in the evening: Peking Opera, Kungfu Show or Chinese Acrobatics.

Forbidden City: The imperial palace for the 24 emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). Construction of the palace began in 1406 and was completed in 1420 during the reign of Ming Dynasty emperor Yongle. Enclosed behind its moat and 9.9-meter-high walls are 980 buildings, vast courtyards and long corridors that occupy a total area of 720,000 square meters.
Temple of Heaven: Occupying 2,668 hectares, it is the largest extant sacrificial temple in China. Construction of the Temple of Heaven was begun in 1406 during the reign of the Ming Dynasty Emperor Yongle. It took 14 years to complete. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was the site of imperial sacrifices to Heaven.

Day 03

Beijing (Breakfast + Lunch)
Today we will have an excursion to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs. On the way back to downtown, have a brief outside visit of the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and the Water Cube (National Aquatics).

Mutianyu Great Wall: Located 73 kilometers from Beijing, this well-preserved section joins the Juyongguan Pass in the west and Gubeikou Great Wall in the east. It was built about 1,400 years ago and reconstructed later during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Mutianyu boasts breathtaking beautiful scenery in four seasons with comparatively less tourist.

Day 04 Beijing - Kunming (Breakfast + Lunch)
After breakfast, explore the Summer Palace. Take a Hutong tour, passing Shichahai, Yinding Bridge, Yandaixiejie, Drum tower or Bell tower, feel the original old Beijing Culture. Drive to Beijing airport and fly to Kunming. Your local guide will pick you up at Kunming airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Summer Palace: Occupying a total area of 290 hectares, it is one of the finest examples garden architecture in China. The traditional architectures in the park include pavilions, pagodas, temples, terraces, waterside gazebos, stone bridges, covered corridors and marble boat. The history of the Summer Palace dates back some 800 years, three quarters of it is made up of shallow lakes.
Day 05 Kunming - Stone Forest - Kunming (Breakfast + Lunch)
Drive to Lunan County which takes 2 hours and explore the Stone Forest. Return to Kunming in the afternoon.

Stone Forest: Located about 86 km away from Kunming, it is a world of innumerable bizarre shaped stone peaks and cliffs created by water erosion some 270 million years ago. Stone Forest is a typical example of karsts topography covering an area of 400 square kilometers and including both large and small forest as well as many other scenic spots.
Day 06 Kunming - Dali (Breakfast + Lunch)
Today you will be transferred to Kunming airport for your flight to Dali. Upon arrival in Dali, you will be met by our local tour guide. Have a cruise in the Erhai Lake which is dotted with many white sails, then learn the Bai people's traditional technique of making Tie-dyeing Cloth with Wax in a local handcraft manufactory. After That, explore Xizhou Township where the local residents are mostly ethnic Bai People. Here you can see the distinctive folk house complex with traditional architecture courtyard. Finally, pay a visit to the Three Pagodas in the Chong Sheng Temple and explore Dali Ancient City.

Erhai Lake: The lake is situated at an altitude of 1,972 meters above sea level. It is 42 kilometers from north to south and 3 to 9 kilometers from east to west, covering an area of 250 square kilometers. The whole region is full of interesting and beautiful sites. Visitors come to lakeshore to camp, ride horses, ride bikes and hike. You can experience culture of ethnic Bai People in this area as well. The ancient city of Dali and the other historic sites lie to the west of Erhai Lake.
Three pagodas: These pagodas are suited in the Chongsheng Temple at the foot of the Cangshan Mountain. It is just one kilometer to the northwest of the ancient city of Dali. The Three Pagodas are famous in Yunnan even in China, because of their size, beauty, and antiquity, and for their preservation. The central one is more than 1,100 years old and is one of the tallest pagodas ever built in China. The main pagoda looks like a typical Tang Dynasty pagoda. The other two pagodas were built about 100 years later by rulers of the Dali Kingdom that succeeded the Nanzhao Kingdom.
Day 07 Dali - Lijiang (Breakfast + Lunch)
Drive to Lijiang. On the way stop at Xinhua village where the Bai Ethnic People are famous for making silver articles. Arrive Lijiang, visit Sifangjie Street in Dayan Old Town.

Lijiang Old Town: Built in the late Song dynasty (960-1279 A.D.) and the early Yuan dynasty (1206-1368 A.D.), Lijiang is a Historical and Cultural Heritage in China and it has been included in the World Cultural Heritage. Lijiang is also the center of the Naxi people, a relatively small minority group with a rich culture.
Day 08 Lijiang (Breakfast + Lunch)
Tour to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Baisha Fresco, the Ancient Shuhe Village of Naxi people.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain: The mountain is a located 15 kilometers north of Lijiang, It is the southernmost mountain with snow-capped all year round in the Northern Hemisphere. Shanzidou, the main peak at 5,569 meters above sea level, looks like a gigantic dragon clad in white snow all year round. There are over 6,500 different kinds of plants on the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, including 400 types of trees in 20 primeval forest communities.
Baisha Mural: Drew in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it stores 44 pieces of murals in total, specializing in the religious stories. They are quite different from other frescos. Each painting includes at least one hundred portraits, but perspective is used very well, and the close, middle and establishing images are clear. The earliest one is in the Glazed Hall. It was painted before 1417. In the period, the religious painting in Central Plain of China had gone downgrade. In the Tang and Song dynasties, Taoism was popular. The famous painter all liked making religious paintings.
Day 09 Lijiang - Guiyang - Kaili (Breakfast + Lunch)
In the morning, drive to the airport to catch the flight to Guiyang. Arrive at Guiyng airport, be met and transferred to Kaili, where your local guide will pick you up and escort you to the hotel.
Free time for you to explore the city.
Day 10 Kaili (Breakfast + Lunch)
In the morning, you will be transferred to an ethnic Miao Village called Qingman. With a population of more than seven million, the Miao people form one of the largest ethnic minorities in southwest China.
After that, drive to Shiqiao Miao Village. Admire the village constructed in traditional Miao architectural style, and see a demonstration of local villagers making paper from tree barks.
Finally, drive back to Kaili and visit the Ethnic Minorities Museum. In the museum, there are handicrafts, written documents, displays, paintings, and folk art introducing the history, demographics, and culture of the various ethnic minorities in central and southeastern Guizhou Province.
Return to your hotel.
Day 11 Kaili - Rongjiang (Breakfast + Lunch)
Tour to Jidao Miao Village, a typical Long-Skirt Miao village. Visit a family of ethnic Miao People to see what local life is like.
Then drive to the Langde Miao Village. With a history of more than 600 years, the village was built in the Yuan and Ming dynasties. Situated by the crystal Danjiang River and circled by green Leigong Mountain, Langde is most picturesque Miao village in Kaili. It is also known as the Miao's Ethnic Village Museum and will present visitors an authentic experience of Miao.
After lunch, s drive to Datang Miao Village, a Short-Skirt Miao village where the rice barns amazingly built over water in case of fire and mice.
Be transferred to Rongjiang.
Day 12 Rongjiang - Zhaoxing (Breakfast + Lunch)
After breakfast, visit Sanbao Village of ethnic Dong People. The Dong people, a Chinese ethnic minority are found mainly in the provinces of Guizhou, Hunan and Guangxi. The Dong have many ancient customs that are practiced in the villages. These customs are based on age-old rituals and beliefs. Of particular interest are the region's "wind and rain" bridges, or covered bridges, and drum towers.
Afterwards, drive to the next destination Zhaoxing. On the way to Zhaoxing, visit Biasha Miao Village. Biasha is a very special and old Miao Ethnic village and is virtually untouched in any way by modernization. Biasha residents still live in their wooden houses, practice centuries-old customs and have their own unique beliefs. Biasha Miao Village is famed as "the last gunmen tribe". It is not a village but a tribe composed of five stockade villages.
Day 13 Tangan - Zhaoxing - Huanggang (Breakfast + Lunch)
After the breakfast, tour to Tangan Dong Village. This village has a history of more than 700 years, is one of the largest Dong ethnic villages in Guizhou Province. Tangan Dong Village is renowned for its unique architectures, music, festival and customs.
Hike from Tangan to Zhaoxing Dong Village. It is known as the biggest Dong village in southeast Guizhou. It lies in a basin surrounded by mountains through which a stream cuts through. The Zhaoxing Dong Village has about 800 Dong ethnic households with a total population of more than 4,000.
After lunch, drive to Huanggang Dong Village. As one of the gatherings of the Dong ethnic people, Huanggang village celebrates many local festivals. Located in remote mountains, Huanggang continues production and living customs that have lasted for thousands of years.
Day 14 Zhaoxing - Congjiang - Guangzhou (Breakfast + Lunch)
After breakfast, drive to Congjiang and take high-speed train to Guangzhou which takes 4 hours. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to hotel.
Day 15 Guangzhou (Breakfast)
Your guide will escort you to the airport and board your flight to your next destination, end of service.

Service Includes

1. The economy-class air charges of the domestic flight or soft sleeper/seat train charge between cities as specified in the itinerary.
2. The hotel accommodation is based on two persons sharing one standard twin room with private facilities in all relevant locations. If a single client requests a twin room alone, the single room supplement will be charged.
3. For the land tour in each city, daily American breakfast is served in the hotel, and Chinese lunch and/or dinner will be served with two cups of soft drink outside the hotel. All meal arrangements are served as the itinerary specifies.
4. Private transfers for you and your party as a group between airports, train stations, hotels and all sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
5. One private English-speaking guide and driver will accompany you on all normal sightseeing tours in each city.
6. Entrance fees to the tourist sites.
7. Should your tour include a cruise, then the shore excursion in groups and activities will be subject to the arrangements made by the cruise company.
