7 Days China Yunnan Volcano Tour To Kunming, Baoshan, Tengchong, Mangshi And Ruili

Tour Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival - Kunming
Upon arrival in Kunming, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Rest of the day offers sightseeing of the Dragon Gate in Western Hills by the Dianchi Lake.

Dragon Gate: It consists of the Sanqing Temple Complex and the Dragon Gate Grotto Complex, located in the Western Hills, it's 15 km west of Kunming City, close to the west shore of the Dianchi Lake. The scene is well noted for its dangerousness and uniqueness.
Day 02 Kunming (Breakfast + Lunch)
Drive to Lunan County which takes 2 hours and explore the Stone Forest. In the afternoon, return to Kunming.

Stone Forest: Located about 86 km away from Kunming, it is a world of innumerable bizarre shaped stone peaks and cliffs created by water erosion some 270 million years ago. Stone Forest is a typical example of karsts topography covering an area of 400 square kilometers and including both large and small forest as well as many other scenic spots.
Day 03 Kunming - Tengchong (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Take morning flight to Baoshan city. Drive to Tengchong city. Visit the "Hot Sea" geothermal area.
Day 04 Tengchong (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Visit the cluster of sleeping volcanos. After lunch, visit Heshun Village, a nice small township built by overseas Chinese for their retired life, and then visit the border market.
Day 05 Tengchong - Mangshi- Ruili (Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner)
Drive from Tengchong to Mangshi. Visit Dai-Style Buddhist architecture, the Tree-Wrapped-Pagoda, Wuyun Temple. Head for Ruili, visit Mono-Tree-Forest. Explore the night market in Ruili.
Day 06 Ruili - Mangshi - Kunming (Breakfast + Lunch)
Ruili Economic Development Zone including Jiegao, the China's border gate to Burma, the street between China and Burma. Visit Wangding city with a strong feel of the merging of burmese and Chinese life styles. Drive to Mangshi city, take evening flight back to Kunming.
Day 07

Kunming - Departure (Breakfast + Lunch)
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the Qiongzhu Temple and the Flower-Bird Market. Transfer to Kunming airport to connect with your onward flight.

Qiongzhu Temple: A Buddhist temple which was first built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Verdant old trees surround the temple and the peaks are always curled up by cloud and mist. The most impressive features in this temple are the 500 Arhat sculptures. Compared with Bodhisattvas, Arhats look more like human beings than Gods, and therefore they are popular among the common people and monks.

Service Includes

1. The economy-class air charges of the domestic flight or soft sleeper/seat train charge between cities as specified in the itinerary.
2. The hotel accommodation is based on two persons sharing one standard twin room with private facilities in all relevant locations. If a single client requests a twin room alone, the single room supplement will be charged.
3. For the land tour in each city, daily American breakfast is served in the hotel, and Chinese lunch and/or dinner will be served with two cups of soft drink outside the hotel. All meal arrangements are served as the itinerary specifies.
4. Private transfers for you and your party as a group between airports, train stations, hotels and all sightseeing spots. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.
5. One private English-speaking guide and driver will accompany you on all normal sightseeing tours in each city.
6. Entrance fees to the tourist sites.
7. Should your tour include a cruise, then the shore excursion in groups and activities will be subject to the arrangements made by the cruise company.
8. China Life Tourist Accident/Casualty Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance from you country of origin.

6. Single Room Supplement.
What is single supplement? - The hotel is based on double occupancy. If the visitor travels alone or the number of the travelers is odd (such as 3, 5, 7...), who stays in one single room has to pay the single room supplement. As the hotel is on double occupancy.
