Mengbanaxi Rarity Garden

Mengbanaxi means mysterious paradise in Dai Language. Located in Mangshi, the capital city of Dehong, the garden is an ecological garden with many valuable, rare and ancient trees and rocks. the plants in the garden are divided into two sections representing a splendid view: the hundred years old banyan trees with lush branches and leaves look like a virgin forest and the plum blossoms resemble a sea of flower; the frangipani with old and curly roots give a sweet smell; the red crape myrtle bursts forth like fire in summer; the spihulose tree, which is existed in the dinosaur age is now called the loving fossil of the flora; the cassia blooms with a sweet fragrance in August. There are also some other plants in the garden, such as bird - nest fern, antler fern, lotus throne turtle fern, diadem fern, dendrobium, pleione, evergreen orchid, field turtle, desert rose and so many other rare spices of plants and vegetations of gingseng banyan, yacca, fragrant dracaena, Chinese boxwood, sago cycas, elm and the such a likes.

So many petrified prehistoric trees are lined up along the two flank sides of the sightseeing aisles in the park. The oldest trees are over at least 200 million years. The park is full of giant wood carvings bizarre rockeries, jade and emerald.
