Ganlanba Basin
The Ganlanba Basin, known as "the
Plume of the Peacock", is located 34 kilometers southeast
of Jinghong City. Metaphorically speaking, if Xishuangbanna
is a green peacock, then the Ganlanba Basin is the tail of
the peacock. With green trees all the year round and bamboo
houses scattered around, the place is very attractive. From
time to time, Dai ladies in colorful tight skirts will come
out from these houses, adding to the beauty of the natural
scenery. The tropical scenery and the Dai bamboo houses set
each other off harmoniously so that tourists will surely be
impressed. There is a saying that "One makes a worthless
trip to Xishuangbanna if he does not come to the Ganlanba
Basin". |
